Belagavi: Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has sent a letter to the North-Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) in relation to the buses coming to Miraj without permits and stopping at random places to pick up passengers.
Complaining about NWKRTC buses to the Division Controller, MSRTC requested to not send buses without a permit and also asked them to refrain from stopping at places that aren't designated bus stops.
MSRTC letter further added that in case, NWKRTC buses still come to Miraj, whatever happens with them will be NWKRTC's responsibility and they can't be held accountable.
Responding to the letter Sangli Divisional Controller, NWKRTC Belgaum said that, 340 buses ply from the Belgaum section to Maharashtra and since Karnataka buses are cleaner than Maharashtra buses passengers prefer to travel in Karnataka transport buses.
He added that the letter is written in frustration and MSRTC officials are already informed that there are no buses operating illegally from Karnataka to Maharashtra.
