Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to pay a one-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir either on February 25 or 26.
According to sources in the administration, the Prime Minister will meet Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during his visit and will take stock of the security situation and developmental works in the Valley.
He could also inaugurate the eight-and-a-half-kilometre-long Banihal-Qazigund tunnel during the visit, added sources.
Interestingly, the J&K administration had sought time till February 25 from the Central Government for the completion of the tunnel.
